Need to know

#1 The EULA of torque saids:

Licensor grants Licensee a single "seat" to an individual, a limited non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Torque Game Engine ("Engine) for the purposes of making source code and object code for an unlimited number of electronic single or multi-user Games ("Games")

But that's not your consern as you not are working the source of the engine. The 3dpai1 only gives you the exe, and you would have to look at the EULA for the book (Though I do think it's transferable).

As for support, the public forrums do not provide you with engine code examples, and you do not get access to the development network (tdn) either, these are for licened users only.

#3 Ashley the engine that comes with the book is just a demo and can't be used for commercial releases. the fact that it comes with the book doesn't really matter. you could download an equivalent demo from this site for free. if you would like to create games for commercial purposes($$$$$) you need to purchase a license.

#4 Ahh k thanks for the info guys but what i meant is i got the book with the cd pluss a cd with the Torque sdk on it

The Book and the CD (non-SDK CD) that came with the book "Yes". The CD with the Torque SDK is a "No"

As noted above the Torque SDK is a "non-transferable license" which means someone can't sell it or give it to another person. Any other answer would have to be received directly from Garage Games staff. If you feel like pursuing this further I would recommend you would need to speak to them.
