Pod" like Vehicle Simulator, is Torque for me.

Hello all.
Ok, here is what I am looking at doing. I would like to create a simulator where the player is seated in a "Pod" like vehicle that hovers and is controlled with maneuvering thrusters to move it in all axis as well as rotation. The "Pod" vehicle will have robotic arms with claws/tools to perform functions such as picking up and moving objects and manipulating equipment. A couple of good examples would be the "Pods" in 2001 - A Space Odessey or "Submersibles" like in The Abyss. There needs to be full working cockpit instrumentation and movement through the virtual world as physically acurate as possible.
I realize this will be difficult to program in any 3D Engine. I am wondering if it is possible in TGE or TSE.

Moster Roll Cage used something similar (www.idryonis.com/), so it is possible
