Anyone making a FPS?

I was curious if anyone was making a FPS with TGE/TSE. I am thinking of creating a Quake II/III-style FPS, so I am extra interested if anyone is making one of that sort.
Also, do you think a FPS made in TGE would sell when superior-graphics FPSs like Half-Life 2 & Doom 3 out there? Especially an old school-style FPS.
So?

Unless you have an FPS that is offering something unique or different than most of what's out there, then no, it's probably a futile effort. TGE is fairly difficult to make Quake/Unreal style FPS games as is, with it's lacking interior format, Tribesy physics, and problematic projectile code. That said, the FPS market is vastly over saturated with tons of games across all levels of quality, so unless you have something genuinely new to add, and want to make something to sell instead of something just for your own amusement, you're probably not going to have much luck regardless of what engine you use.

If you want to make money with Torque than an fps is a poor choice. I agree with what Paul wrote above.
Simple puzzle / sports game would be a better bet.
Look at the games published on this website, only one of them fits into an fps genre.

On the graphics, seeing what TSE can do, I doubt it can get Half-Life 2 quality graphics with decent frames per second. I really don't intend to much on selling my game, but was just curious if it was possible and if one(besides Tribes) had been sold. Thanks,

Yeah, it can do Half-Life 2 quality at decent FPS. Like I said, TSE's only limitation is your own skill in artistry and possibly some small programming. (To fix a few render bugs that may arise). A game engine is just that: it runs the game and renders the images (in which it does very well). The models and texture quality, however, fall into your own skill.

We've been working on one for a bit. Hope to finish it eventually. Multiplayer both as special forces and as creatures is the plan.Code Name: Monster Island

Is anyone making an FPS? Practically everyone (around the entire gaming world, not just here). In TGE/TSE, FPS or racing, as they're the ones most supported out of the box.
