RC2: Resolution Switch Problems

I can reproduce this error off of a fresh install of RC2:
1. Open TGB and go to the preferences menu.
2. The resolution selected in my menu shows 1024x768 but the window is running at 800x600.
So I switch the resolution in the menu to 800x600. (Set to D3D by default btw)
3. Click on apply then ok.
4. Go to preferences again - select 1024x768 and click on apply -- TGB window disappears and all I have is an entry on the task bar. Clicking on this entry will not bring the TGB window back up.
I can end the task to close TGB down, but restarting TGB after this results in just an entry in the taskbar (no window visible -- alt+tab doesn't work either). Restarted my computer and there is no diff - I had to reinstall TGB.
Some info about my computer:
Dell Inspiron 6400
Intel GMA950 Graphics
Intel Core Duo CPU
Windows XP SP2
1 GB RAM
My desktop resolution is 1280x800 32 bit color.

So if I go in just to change a keybinding, when I hit OK, TGB changes from 800x600 to 1600x900. I'm pretty sure this happened with RC1 as well.
This is the Windows version if it helps.
