Strategy Military Game

Hi,

Is it possible with Torque Engine to make a "Fleet Command" like strategy game with naval, air ang ground forces?. How can I make it? Is there any guidelines or tutorials I can read to make such game?.

I'm looking to recreate a Malvinas War scenario, with strategy aspects with historical missions and hipotetical missions. I want to represent real terrain for ground and sea scenarios, I have strong knowledge of 3ds Max modeling and I'm wanted to put that models in a game.

The game should also have flight dynamics, guidance, and sensor models incorporated to provide a high level of realism and fluid game play, with AI behavior, menus, platform database, and symbology.

I decided to write here because I was surfing the web for such game with no luck and the games I found are not cutomizable, I'm not a programmer, not developer and I do not have any C or C++ knowledge but with a lot of ideas and military knowledge.

Thanks to all.
Guido.

Is it possible with Torque? Yes. But you would need an experienced programmer to get a lot of that working, especially the boats, more realistic flight, and AI. Torque isn't a plug'n'play system, it's a real serious game engine. I doubt you will find anything that does what you want as a standalone engine. There may be some games out there you could mod like this, the Battlefield series perhaps? Though those aren't exactly "realistic" they do have boats and planes and such in them already I think.

Well,

thanks for the reply Paul. I'll looking forward for any ideas of using Torque with custom terrains generation and put some naval models into it. Just for testing purpose. Any ideas will help.

Thanks
