I'm back after a full week of spanish sunshine =O). Did i just hang around the pool and drinking to much beer??? Sure i did, but not all time was wasted i made a whole bunch of drawings and once again a few might fit this whole RW idea, some where even inspired by it so here we go...

You have posted some of the best conceptual drawings on GG that I have ever seen. These concepts are awesome.
My only comment would be that they look a little to "Disney" for the RW project. Can you make them a little darker to fit with the RW conceptuals that have been posted? Or maybe take one of these and show how it would be colored and that will make it edgier.
I feel kind of like a fool asking this because these drawings are so awesome. However, I looked at your profile artwork and the colored stuff was a little darker and edgier.

Yeah sure i can do that Jeff i'll see if i can collor one of those. The style i'm using is my own and it could be a little disney like, i can how ever easaly adapt and turn my work around, you want it darker no problem. I'll look into that. I just sticked with my own style since these where all just for my own, just to have some fun. If you need something specific, you want to see changed or any topic you like me to do,let me know, i'm sure i can come up with something...Thanx for the compliment btw =O)

I'd have gone for a sort of cracked rock texture for the guy.. like he was made of stone.. what are those creatures called?

As for the concepts... the best is probably that beastie #3 that one is really cool very RW.

Yeah, a beast of some sort is needed for hauling around Orc war wagons. #3 above looks mean-spirited enough...

As for the coloring, i didn't put in to much detail because i just wanted to set down a look rather than a totaly finished picture. I see now that it is the wrong path for RW, the colors might be nice but it's more the shape that needs some sharper edges and some work to loose the cartoony feel.
But ok you want it dark, you want it edgy, i'll see what i can come up with in the week to come... That is if my work let's me =O)

After seeing the new RW art i have a beter idea of what you want from your concepts, an over the top feel but not to cartoony. This wasn't to ovious from the first characture concept art shown. The ogre thingy had a more cartoony feel. I'll see if i can work up to the style Shawn is using, or at least something close i should be able to handle that..As for the coloring, i didn't put in to much detail because i just wanted to set down a look rather than a totaly finished picture. Phil, that stone creature you wanted to know the name for is a golem. Or more specifically a stone golem... Although I suppose there are probably other stone creatures. Could always have a stone orc. ;)Alc

It's still cartoony to me P ;) I think you should try different rendering style, something more close to the pics in the gallery, that would be first step in the right direction ;) btw this may inspire you a bit :)
