My posts aren't going through

by Justin Woods (ESAL) · in Site Feedback · 06/01/2006 (3:56 am) · 3 replies

I have attempted to post a thread three times in the RTS forums, and twice in the TGE private engine forum. It has not worked a single time in IE or Firefox on either of my accounts.

What happens is I hit "submit post" to submit my post when done, and it takes me to a page saying the "No posts were found that matched your query," and prompts me with a new box titled "Post*." If I re-input the post into this box, it just takes me to the same page again, but the forum shows that the thread has registered two posts.

Now it looks as if I am spamming the forums to people that don't know my dilema. Here are links to my posts, can anyone else see them?

Edit: This is the first successful post I have had in days, I was not sure if it would even go through.

Also, I am copying and pasting the post from a Word document, would this make a difference? My guess is no.

I've noticed this happening sometimes when I comment on people's .plans too.
I can't see the two In the Private Forum, and I don't have access to the RTS-SDK.

It might. There have been posts getting cut off because of certain characters. For a while a single quote seemed to cause the rest of the post to be missing. Coping directly from word might have some odd formatting characters added. I know word likes to use different character some times for a quote at the start verses the quote at the end.

Just a guess.

Well that's good cause as far as my posts show they are still up. However at least this way it won't look as if I am spamming the forum. I'm not too sure how to resolve this though.
