Is Torque Shader Engine upgrade of stand-alone?

Just to clarify, is the Torque Shader Engine an upgrade to the Torque Game Engine's rendering engine/s? Thanks.

If not mistake you need TGE to buy TSE but TSE complete new engine and not an upgrade.

It's an upgrade in the sense that it has mainly the same core non rendering code (other than a totally new terrain engine), but it is maintained as it's own codebase seperate from TGE, so you don't actually merge it over TGE like the TLK. And yes you need to own TGE to buy TSE while TSE is still in it's Early Adopter phases. Eventually it will be sold standalone. But basically for the price it costs right now to get TGE+TSE is cheaper than just TSE will be once it's standalone. Same goes for TGE+TGB (if you want TGB source), and TGB releases in about a week!
