How to kill a looping world

Here's a simple quastion for ya, how on earth do I make a none looping world?
I got a 1x1 mile area. At the side you start at I have a very large ocean, if you run to the other side the world loops and I end up back at the ocean. So what I need is some suggestons on how to get rid of this. mountains don't work because if I go to the other side of the ocean there's mountains in the middle of the sea.

You can turn off "tiling" in the terrain properties to stop the terrain from repeating, you can also do the same with water.

However it is worth noting, that if you set this to not tile, you can not edit/paint terrian. so you will have to keep it tileing whilst editing.
