If you're interested in using them, let me know and I'll send you a coupon that waives the setup fee.

If anyone signs up, you can use "FIGMENTGAMES" as a promo code to get up to $40 off most packages (little less on the cheaper packages; shameless plug I know, but what can you do ;)
If you have the choice Donald, try to keep your domain registrar seperate to your webhosting. I keep my domains with 1and1.co.uk now and websites on dreamhost. Makes it much easier to move between hosts should the quality of service deteriorate or a cheaper alternative is found.

I'm with dreamhost, not used the SVN repo though as I run my own locally. However, the webhosting and email so far has been spot on.If anyone signs up, you can use "FIGMENTGAMES" as a promo code to get up to $40 off most packages (little less on the cheaper packages; shameless plug I know, but what can you do ;)

Cool I should be signing up in a week. I have everything all setup on Godaddy and in a week or so I will get paid and get it rolling. I will probably be back on this thread to ask for help on setting up the SVN seeing as how I never used one but know I need it thanks again guys for all your help.

www.3ix.org/ only cost $1 a month. I've been using it, but I actually plan to move to a server that allows JSP and Java servlets when my current hosting runs out.

No 1and1.com does not have SVN. I currently use them, and now that i've learned about dreamhost, I might just swithc because of SVN. How much space is allocated for SVN on dreamhost? How many databases do you got with dreamhost?

I'm not sure how much the actual repository space is, I think it counts towards your 20 gigs (that increases each week) and you can have unlimited DB's with them. In case anyone wants to use it, here is the coupon code for free setup (saves you $50 dollars, meaning you just have to pay $9.95 to start the account, which is for your first month)LSPROMO

How would you rate their upload/download spees? Do they support SSL? Would you say they are a good web hosting company in general?
#17
Rating of 1 - 10:
I give them a solid 9 (no host is perfect to me :))
Edit: Forgot to answer a question: Yes they have support for SSL.

They are some of the best speeds I've encountered in a host. I mainly hampered by my damn ISP's upload. I've been with several over the years and I have to say Dreamhost is the best. I've moved all the sites I owned into this one account. They also have the best customer support I've seen. Also if you're needing a PHP script (Wordpress, phpBB, etc) they have what they call "One Click Installs" You select the application you want installed, tell it where to install to, and within 10 minutes all the configuration (except for a few details you'll have to enter on the scripts Install.php for example) is taken care of.Rating of 1 - 10:

You can pay by PayPal, but I don't think you can use the coupon I gave you. If you use the coupons, you have to use debit card/credit card.

Seems to work just fine so far.
(for SVN I just use the server I have sitting in my closet. =)
