Are you sure? AMD doesn't make video cards, what video card do you have?

Obviously I'm reffering to the cpu. it specifies Pentium. My point is I have an AMD Athlon.

The point is, what video card do you have? You asked the question but didn't say what it was.

If the requirement is "DirectX 9 Compatible 3D Graphics Accelerator - WITH LATEST GRAPHICS DRIVERS" Like I said Im ok. My card is running with dx9 and dxdiag says its compatible. Its a 64m Nvida geforce. I also have the latest drivers. My point was the only requirement I dont meat is the CPU. And I only say that because I dont have an Intel class CPU. Although AMD does a great job competing I have seem many many times where an Intel CPU is needed and AMD wont work.

@Sean: Out of curiosity, how did you get a working copy of tse_debug? You don't show in our records as a Torque or TSE owner.

Is it an FX series? Does it have pixel shader 1.1 support?

AMD cpu is not the cause Sean, it's your low entry video card.
If in fact you are using a pirated copy of TSE, you might be interested to know that these forums track and list your IP to admin. Seeing as you've made over 40 posts I'd say you're in trouble thief.

Quote:I doubt it, most 64mb cards don't. I would guess that it's either onboard or a budget card, either way it's definitely not up to the task of running TSE.

As to the accusation of me being a thief:
The reason you dont show my name in your records, is because Im learning on my roommates copy.He has a SDK version of TSE, and a TGE demo(I think). Im very interested in Torque, I think its one of the most amazing game engines around. It's not like Im producing games and selling them. Hell I wish I could but Im not the good with Torque yet. I plan to continue learning on the Torque engine as its simply the best engine around, I wish I could same the same for the forum members.
Stephen Zepp, Sorry for what ever I did to tick you off.
Tim Heldna, Thx for clearing up the issue, Sorry you also consider me a thief.

Sounds to me like the video card is not going to handle it. As to the accusation of me being a thief:

What your doing could still a violation of the EULA, the license is one copy per person as far as code is concerned. What's your friend's GG user name?

Remember, I said 'if' you were using a pirated copy, not that you were using a pirated copy. What your doing could still a violation of the EULA, the license is one copy per person as far as code is concerned. What's your friend's GG user name?

While I do understand your position, it's important to us as a company to make sure that people are using our product reasonably and legally within the EULA.
Keep in mind that the EULA is actually quite open in many ways--as a non-license owner, you are still free to script within an engine executable that someone provides for you, as well as produce art assets for a project. You may also use any of the in-game editors and tools that are provided either by the stock installation, or additional enhancements that a licensed owner may develop.
The major restriction is that you cannot have access to the source code itself (the c++, assembly, and related files that are compiled into an executable), but again, you may use the executable itself if our room-mate compiles it for you.
Sorry if there was an apparent miscommunication in my question!
And yes, unfortunately, a 64 meg card is most likely not going to be able to support the TSE runtime executable...TSE is designed specifically for higher end video cards. I've contacted our marketing department to make sure the User Specifications are updated.

@Sean--I didn't post anything regarding being pissed off or not, just stating that our records didn't show ownership. While I do understand your position, it's important to us as a company to make sure that people are using our product reasonably and legally within the EULA.

Ok to all, if you feel I should not be using my friends copy I will stop, just say so. He does not wish to partake in any of this. As a mater of fact, he is scared and wishes to be anonymous. He assures every one he is an active member of this board. I sincerely hope you have no problem with me continuing to evaluate this product, as Im sold. I fully plan on purchasing soon. Thx for all the comments.

What you have to understand Sean is that a lot of people obtain pirated copies of this software and then have the nerve to visit these forums asking for help on how to use it. I'm sure you can understand why this upsets employees as well as customers.
Also, a lot of people lie to avoid being caught with a pirated copy thus it sounds suspicious when you say a friend has the license and has lent you a copy but you are unable to provide proof of this.
There's no way of me being able to tell whether you are telling the truth or not. So I apologize if my post above caused offence and I retract my statement where I imply you are a thief.
If you are telling the truth, and you are just evaluating a copy of TSE provided by a friend without accessing the source code you are doing nothing wrong. By all means continue using this copy, minus the source code, and continue to learn and have fun. Though, to me it sounds unlikely that your friend would have taken the time to strip out the source code and just distribute the binaries to you.
If you want to remove any doubt, you need only provide this friends GG username which would confirm you were telling the truth.
Lastly, you can legally download a full version of TSE, minus source code, with the fps starter kit from TGE ported into it. This will provide you with all the evaluation material you will need without having to enter shaky ground.
