Latest 3ds max 8 exporter

We are starting to get really confused here so I am just going to ask straight out now, which is the latest exporter that exist for 3D Studio Max 8 ? (and it should work)
I have been looking at several exporters and they make no sense, some might be compiled more recently but supports lower versions of DTS models and compiled 2004? I mean, that is 2 years old? what is going on here?

and dl the 3dsmax 6-8 version of the exporter, works a treat.
