Problem with focus in 1.4 Editors

Hello, I'm having problems with focus in Torque 1.4 in any of the editors. That is to say, when opening an editor by pressing F10 or F11, any letters I type in fields (to name/set values/etc) also affects the game. This leads to quite a few problems, i.e. I am unable to type certain letters as they open dialogs in the game etc.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone else know where I should look for the cause of something like this?
