Im trying to figure something out. Im scripting a pistol weapon and im coming to things like muzzle velocity and particle lifespans. What im trying to figure out is are the particle lifespans in milliseconds, and what is the muzzle velocity based on?

Oh yeah and what about projectile lifetime?

Well, I'm sure you've already figured out muzzle velocity is the speed in which the projectile travels. From memory I think its meters per second, one Torque unit being the equivalent of 1 meter, but I could be wrong. Projectile lifetime is how long the projectile stays on screen before being deleted. That's measured in milliseconds I believe i.e. 1000 = 1 second. Lastly, I do believe particle lifespans are also in milliseconds, most things in Torque are.

Thank you so much. Would you like to test out one of the weapons in my weapon pack free? My pc has too old of a graphics card to even run past the console log. Does your torque work?

Hell yeah, buzz it to contact@sentinelgames.com (email address). Yes my version of torque works, and I enjoy 3d modeling (I use max and milkshape) so I can give you some good constructive criticism. I have a 6600GT (way more than what Torque needs to run) so I can push Torque pretty hard.
