Just Bought Torque. Need Help. Read guides. No Help.

These guides are telling me what dif's and interiors and everything mean, but I can't find anywhere how to start, so what do I do first after downloading the SDK?

Do the torque tutorial, download quark and read the quark help files, build some simple difs and put them in the map

Maybe going throught the MinApp tutorials would help you get a better understanding of Torquehttp://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=5091

Where do I download QuArK? (Just used the tutorial, want to make interiors) Is QuArK Mac compatiable?

No. For the Mac, you will have to play with Radiant and get it to work correctly. At least until Constructor comes out.

Thank you so much. Oh and one last thing before I go: I know you can rotate the way your facing in the game, but is it possible to change the scripting so you can in the world editor? Thank you.

You mean the camera's transform? Or the player model in third-person? I'm not sure what you're asking.

What I'm asking is in the toggle camera in thw world editor, I'm always facing forward (let's say it's north). I can move the using W, S, D, and A, but I can't look in another direction (lets say east, west and south). What I'm getting at is that I can't turn around.

Macs have two-button mice now?
#16
Yes, might mice for macs have right click. I'm using a wireless mouse though.
I hope ctrl-clicking works.
And I'm on a question spree: how do you start Radiant and get it to work for Torque?!?

This is so unfair. I'm so uncompatabile.Yes, might mice for macs have right click. I'm using a wireless mouse though.

I haven't used Radiant on the Mac for much. I use 3D World Studio and Quark on my Tablet PC. But I'll be using Constructor on my Mini and G5.

If you want to use Apple Pro apps or most modeling software, you'll want to pick up a three-button scroll mouse. I can't imagine not using one in Final Cut, Logic, Shake, Lightwave, Modo, or really anything. Especially for anything that you will be using hot-keys with like crazy. I bought a $5 Microsoft mouse and it was money well spent. It upped my workflow significantly in Pro apps since I could use each hand to do different things without having to worry about CTRL'ing.I haven't used Radiant on the Mac for much. I see the need for some serious starter tutes here. Anyone want to start a thread pointing new-comers in the right direction?

Seems like most of his problems are with him being on a weak development platform.

then again all you really need to do is get radiant to work for torque which shouldnt be too hard to figure out.
