Sound trouble

I have a problem in the 3D environment after a Theora video has played. I'll explain. I have triggers in the game, when a player enters a trigger, a theora TheoraCtrl is made vidible and plays a video. While the theira video is playing I turn all the sound channels volume to 0 and when the video finishes the Theora video disappears and the sound channels volume turn back to their original volume.

This works fine, however, when I walk around the 3D environment after the video has played, the sound starts stuttering. There are audio emitters in the environment but these are playing fine, it sounds as if there is an extra layer of stuttering audio playing over the actual audio in the 3D environment.

It doesnt seem to be the emitters as they are fine before I play a theora video, so it must be something that theora is doing to stutter the audio. Would theora be holding on to some audio properties? Does anyone know what this might be?
