TGE GG Update with Requested Resrouces? Possible?

TGE GG update with preferred/most useful Pro-Newbie Resources?
Just a thought aimed to make things easier for newbies and semi newbies
There are a good number of useful resources posted by capable and generous members of this community and often these resources have to be searched for and new users may feel intimidated by the steps required to implement such a resource, but they could benefit from it if it had already been implemented for them.
I know GG does eventually add some of the resources, but if they do it often enough I don't know. Also we are aware new resrouces's implementation requires QA time, so this is not a complaining-post, just a pro-nnob, proTGE post
For example there is a 'on year old' resource about increasing the number of terrain textures from the 6 slots currently available in TGE. THe resrource goes from 6 to 8 textures but some community member I recall saying he added 15 textures with no apparent issues/bugs? Not sure if with more than one detail texture though.

Wouldn't be great/better if for example TGE 1.4.1 would ship with 15 texture slots default? I think a this would be a welcom feature esepcailly for those new users that are more art-incluned than code-inclined and would mainly mod the engine. Wouldn't something like this add longeivty to TGE? Surely a nice feauture. Other resoruces deall with all sorts of stuff, from better water to vehicles, camera features etc...
There are more resrouces I'm sure would be welcome from new users, straight out of the box, so why don't people, newcomers and experts, post their suggestions here about which resource would be great to have in the next (or next few) releases of TGE? (free updates or pay for updates that's up to GG to decide.
I think all these resrouces would add even more reasons for TGE to exist as an ingine for the market/hardware GG is targeting and keepingh TSE separate, so fellow members do not post anything like "if you want better terrain texturing get TSE", I already own TSE; and if you say something liek that it is like you are telling GG to retire TGE and only work on TSE (which is not going to happen).
TGE can offer more to its intended market/hardware/delivery channels and GG release 1.4 was a really nice release!
Thanks

But it would take a lot of time and compatibility checking. I have seen a few guys complain that one resource is not compatible with another. Could you imagine how much test time would have to go into pushing out a 1.4.x build? Also compiling resources is a great learning opp.

I thought that would be coool and one of the features that would be made available from this thread here:http://www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=43243
