Bulk of thread removed due to basic issues created by not the
torque install but the version tracking directory

William,
There is no hardcoded reference to the /torque/ dir nowhere in the source code, and you can create a completely independent source base simply copying the directory to a new place.
From what I read in your post, chances are that you are opening the wrong .sln (the one in the standard directory) or that the .sln that you are using is directly referencing the standard /torque/ path.

William, again, there is no hard coded reference. I keep versions of Torque all over the place. There is something drastically wrong with your build environment, I think.

As Pat said, I'm sure that there is no hard coded reference.
Actually, I don't even have a /torque/ dir in my PC, I've renamed it and have at least 3 different versions.
All of them compile correctly without any problem, so I suggest that you check your build environment. You may be wasting a lot of time doing something that is not needed.
