IK and Exporter 091 Lovin Not Happenin

by Demolishun · in Artist Corner · 04/24/2006 (8:27 pm) · 5 replies

I have been trying to get a IK character to export with an IK rig. I put in LocRot keyframes and it will not recognize it. Then I tried baking them and it would recognize the actions, but not perform them. I thought this version was supposed to support IK actions?
Can someone tell me the procedure for creating IK actions?

Thanks,
Frank

I'm not sure if this will apply to your problem. But when I first tried IK, it didn't seem to work for me too. I used IK to keep my character's feet on the ground as I moved the pelvic bone. But after exporting, I would just see my whole character move up and down. I looked again I realized Blender was still using the old 0.9 version of the exporter (displayed in the exporter GUI). Apparently, just changing Blender's path script directory wasn't enough. I realized there was an install script that comes with the exporter that I needed to run and that fixed everything.

Hope this helps

Joe,
I sent you an email with the blend, cs and log. Thanks.

Stan,
This is a clean install of the 0.91 exporter and blender 2.41, but thanks for the input.

Woohoo! It's alive!

Thanks a bunch. He runs like an old man heading for the crapper, but he runs.
