Troll Concept

I sketched this out the other night when my kids and I were watching the Black Cauldron (for the millionth time, funny how your kids will kill your favorite classics heh). Nothing fancy, just a Troll sitting, waiting for something to do. :-)

On the style, it's kind of a mix of my style and inspiration I pulled from memories. I have a grandmother who's Norwegian and her house is adorned in items she brought over with her. Mostly the paintings, sketches and statues of trolls, witches, etc. captured my attention as a kid. I tried to fashion it after the style in those pieces of art. Still remember the painting at the end of the hallway that terrified my brothers and I ... a witch on a lonely farmroad wandering with her head under her arm. Heh Screw pixie dust, terror is much more fun. :-D But anyway, I'll do more fierce warrior oriented sketches when I get a chance.

Thanks. Yeah, you're right, Phil. At the time I was picturing an old commander type resting by the fire. Its probably good having a sort of older troll/orc that can sweeten up the orc camp a bit.

Actually, i think its norway that has a connection between a troll and santa claus. I work with quite a few norwegians so Ive seen that style of guy before.Its probably good having a sort of older troll/orc that can sweeten up the orc camp a bit.
