Dude, Davey and Stephen, you better be here. Or at least feel guilty if you can't make it. We need GG rep! Thanks to Jay for hopping on board, and I'll be in touch with Eric and Ben.
And to indies everywhere, yeeeeahhh!

710 SW Jackson Ave., Portland, Oregon, US

The Northwest Games Festival is an annual one-day event filled with showing off games, workshops, sessions, an expo, awards, and networking. The intent of the Festival is to give industry professionals and aspiring individuals an opportunity to exchange valuable resources and ideas free of cost. The participants mainly consist of industry developers, independent developers, scholars, and students interested in helping the growth of game development in the Northwest region. The Northwest region includes Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana, northern California, and northern Nevada.
SUBMIT A PRESENTATION, WORKSHOP, OR POSTER
NWGF:06 invites industry professionals, independent developers, scholars, and students to present papers, run workshops, or display posters. Topic interest is flexible, but leans toward industry--how to get started, how to break in, indie lifestyle, education opportunities, discussions on the state of industry, diversity in the industry, quality of life, Northwest presence in game development, and technology tools and career skills--design, programming, art, writing, audio, marketing.
Submission Guidelines:
1. provide titles and proposals of around 150 words proposals by May 10, 2006 to NWGF:06 (beth.a.dillon at gmail.com)
2. state the format of your presentation: panel presentation, workshop, or poster session
3. include your technology requests (see Bring Your Own policy)
Bring Your Own Technology Policy: If you want to use presentation technology such as PowerPoint, please bring your own laptop. It is safest not to rely on wireless internet, so have a hard copy on your laptop. Projectors will be provided at request.
SUBMIT A GAME
NWGF:06 invites independent developers and students to submit games and game play hardware for both game play show-off and audience awards. Even if your game is not finished, bring it and show it off! We want to know what is going on with games in the Northwest. Along with games developed from original engines and the Torque engine, we also welcome mods. And for an even more interesting twist, new hardware design is invited as well.
Submitting: Although it is not required to pre-register, we appreciate knowing how many games we will have to play. To submit your game or hardware, send your name, your game/hardware title, and any additional details to NWGF:06 (beth.a.dillon at gmail.com).
Bring Your Own Technology Policy: This policy gives developers a chance to submit a game/hardware up to the day of NWGF:06. Although wireless internet will be available, it is safest not to rely on it. Please remember to bring your own consoles, computers, laptops, and extension cords.
EXPO BOOTHS
NWGF:06 welcomes companies, both independent and industry, as well as schools or departments to participate in the expo. Supporting the mission of the NWGF, booths are free of charge. Tables are provided as well as outlets, but all other materials must be brought by the company or institution. To reserve a space at the expo, contact NWGF:06 (beth.a.dillon at gmail.com).
NWGF:06 is sponsored by: Portland Area Game Developers Interest Group, Portland State University, American Indian Science and Engineering Society, GarageGames, co-laboratory. To become a sponsor or affiliate, contact NWGF:06 (beth.a.dillon at gmail.com).

@Brian - I live in Hillsboro actually, so Portland is just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
@Paul - I think you're poking fun and me, but I still hope to see you there. :)
