Character rigging

I'm new to modeling characters and I just found a problem. I brought up models in the demo verison of showtools and the skeleton is not attached to the model. I was wondering how do you put the skeleton in a model? Is it done with a 3rd party program or is there a way in showtools!!! If possible send me some links. Thanks in advance...

Not really, the bones show up on the screen of showtools but they are not inside the model! would I have to go back to the software I created it in or can I do it in showtools?

Show tool is for SHOWing models. Yep, you need to fix this in the source art and export to DTS again.

It's possible your mesh is not weight mapped and as a result the bones are reset to the default position. Every poly needs a weight.

Sounds more likely that the pivot points are borked and not aligned; between the bounds object & mesh+rig, or moreso likely, between the mesh and the rig-before they were 'skinned' or weighted.

I have witnessed a rig leaping out of the mesh in ShowToolPro too... Sounds more likely that the pivot points are borked and not aligned; between the bounds object & mesh+rig, or moreso likely, between the mesh and the rig-before they were 'skinned' or weighted.
