Internet multiplay and GG master server

My team and I are having one heck of a time getting any multplayer game to show up on GarageGames' master server. I have tried the TGE 1.4 demo, a stock RTS-SK build, an RTS-SK build on linux and our own RTS project code all with no luck. This is with the server system directly connected to my cable modem in each case and with firewall software either diabled or set to notify.
I can Query LAN games with no problem but neither I nor my teammates can see any of eachothers' servers using the Query Master Server button. I can't even find them on the gnometech page.
Could someone confirm for me that they can start up a stock tge 1.4 demo server or RTS-SK server and that other players can see and connect to it over the internet just using the Query Master button.
Thanks,
Greg

Have you had any problems either with Windows firewall or connecting from clients behind routers?

the "ping response port"
used for the master server to "ping" your server.
without this port when you make a request to the server to be added.
if it cannot ping back to you then you dont make the list.

You need to have the port opened to the server..the "ping response port"

if it cannot ping back to you then you dont make the list.
