NEW RELEASE: Torsion 1.0.558

by Tom Spilman · in Torque Game Engine · 04/12/2006 (5:12 pm) · 5 replies

Put up a new Torsion build today (those of you that downloaded the last version should get an update notification on the next Torsion execution). This update is mainly small fixes and other maintenance items as clean up things for the start of the OSX port (w00t!).

The most important change is the addition of crash reports generated when a fatal exception occurs. I fully admit there are a hand full of crash bugs in the editor at the moment. This should help me a lot when it comes to tracking these odd crashes that cannot be reliably reproduced. Please submit these when Torsion prompts you and fill out as much of the bug report form as you can.

Another importaint change is how i deal with file associations. I now keep from stomping on existing associations, adding Torsion to the "Open With..." list when an association for a particular extension is already made. This is the first step in allowing an application preference in defining custom script extensions (including the dso extension).

The full change log can be seen here.

w00t indeed! I've been looking forward to that for some time. If you need any Mac testers, let me know.

Tom, seems my numeric pad arrow keys no longer move the cursor. The little T-pad arrow keys do.
