How is this going to work?

Hello peoples,
So Realm Wars was at the GDC? I just got home (Philadelphia) from the GDC myself like 20min ago. I think I may have seen it there too... didn't get a chance to play, but I think I remember watching some people play that game amid all the hubub.
I'm a composer just to let all of you know.

I'm interested in getting involved in this project. And after attending many of the sessions on the audio track at the GDC it is more glaringly important than ever before that it's important to have someone involved, if only in a "consultant" capacity, for the development of the audio engine.
I know that the Torque engine already has an audio portion of the engine developed and I don't know if it would require any modification for Realm Wars. I don't know the details about the engine either, but after playing T2 for a while I'm guessing it's basically 3D sound sprites with mp3 music thrown in on top.
I've had some experience developing music for the torque engine, via Tribes 2 (Wrote the Renegades 2 Music Add-On Pack)www.planetrenegades.com
But after reading through the milestones and the forum a bit it looks kinda like a free-4-all with game content.
I know that you're developing a website for the community to use as a portal to the development process, but what kind of organization will be going on? How will everything be tied together? Who are the constants on the team? WHAT exactly is the team?
I'm definitely interested in doing music/SFX for this game.
Can anyone shed any more light on the whole thing?
