TSE CVS bandwidth exceeded

by Prairie Games · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 04/04/2006 (11:22 am) · 9 replies

I did a checkout of TSE today and just went to update. The update aborted with:

cvs.exe [update aborted]: You have exceeded your allocated bandwidth for today

I think the bandwidth limit might be set a tad low.

TSE base is alot lower than TGE is, but its per accont, so not sure why you'd hit your limit already.

Either way, nothing seems to have been updated :(

Check your cvs settings, are you using compression? (-z3 for command line) if not, that could be your problem. You used up all your bw for the co and have nohing to-do an update

Ron: Hey, good call... Darn it! I wish that was a server side option :|

If there is an update today, I am going to be a sad panda.

I leaked unconfirmed info, and I apologize--no update today, but it will be announced in the forums, and it will be pretty soon in the big picture of TSE development's lifetime.

Pfft, pretty soon in the big picture of TSE's development lifetime could be another few years ;) Only kidding, looking forward to it ;)

At least Josh didn't get tricked out of getting 0 day access to the changes too ;)

@Stephen Zepp

Man, I just feel bad for you for the last few days on the forums. If I knew how to send you some beer I would.

@josh / GG
yeah, i ran into that bandwidth problem about a week ago. I was able to download HEAD twice completely (wanted HEAD and MS2, but WinCVS is a bitch), and then it wouldn't let me log in at all.

@Anton: hehe...thanks man, I appreciate it! It has been crazy busy, especially coming off of GDC and then the TechEd conference the week after--and a rough time for battening down the hatches here on the forums!

/me pets Stephen
/me ships off a crate of beer

Then again take it on the light side. If I recall then Dan has been the first real troll on these boards for 4-5 years. Shows how good this community is when you suddenly get "disrupted".

With that said, we all eagerly await CVS content ;-)
