3D World Studio v5.44

I just released a patch for 3D World Studio 5.44:
www.leadwerks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=737
I totally replaced the texture mapping routines with new ones that will be more compatible with the way .map files work. My tests showed texture lock and .map export working perfectly, even with complex rotation of brushes. Please let me know if you experience any problems with this and Torque, particularly with texture alignment.

Don't install this if you want to be able to export Torque interiors that have textures on them because it does not work. Wait until the next update.

Could you elaborate on this? I'm looking to use 3D world studio for a project. Does anyone know if this issue is currently fixed?

File -> Export -> SaveAsType (.map) -> FileName (someMap) -> Save
I have checked to make sure that it is in the correct folders under FPS Starter kit. It looks like it is exporting the linker file and the textures but not the actually map file.
Anyone else having these problems?
*edit: Just took a look under Plugins and didn't find Map2Dif. Maybe that is my problem?

I can't get the exporter to work at all under 5.45. Maybe it has changed but I am doing the following:File -> Export -> SaveAsType (.map) -> FileName (someMap) -> Save

With this version your interiors won't have a texture on them when you put them into Torque.

There is no way around this? It defeats the whole purpose of the editor does it not?

Link Look towards the last 3 or 4 posts.
I hope that this is not the case. Otherwise I would definately like a refund seeing that Torque support was promised, delivered, and then taken away. :(

Did anyone else read this thread? It is just speculation but it seems that *MAYBE* there will no longer be anymore support for Torque under 3DWS. I sure hope this is not true because this is why I bought this in the first place. Here is a link: (remember this is just speculation from somebody)Link Look towards the last 3 or 4 posts.

There was a bug in v5.44 where texture filename had the extension listed. It has been fixed in 5.45, which is available on the leadwerks forum.

Oh please, that's just a little reactionary. There was a bug in v5.44 where texture filename had the extension listed. It has been fixed in 5.45, which is available on the leadwerks forum.

I am still having problems with the exporter. I am not getting the exporter dialog anymore. I am still not able to export. Maybe the CD doesn't contain the Map2Dif utility? I reinstalled the program to make sure but it still doesn't work. Anyone no what the problem is?
*Edit: I just downloaded from the website (version 5.43) and it will again let me export. It looks like the CD version doesn't include Map2Dif. :(

I didn't mean to seem reactionary. I thought that I had made it clear that it was just speculation of someone. I was by no means accusing anyone of anything.I am still having problems with the exporter. I am not getting the exporter dialog anymore. I am still not able to export. Torque comes with map2dif so just drag the .map onto the exe and you are done, You don't need to compile with 3dws.
