T2D particle editor? (beta 1.1)

I just bought TGB (T2D) out of curiosity...
And now I ended up being curious about the particle editor... ;)
Is it supposed to work out of the box? The tutorials I found claim that F11 should open it (which does absolutely nothing).
I know it's still beta and all, but I'd still be interested in trying the particle editor out. Any console command to start it? or is it missing from the package / bugged for some reason?
I'm sure I could go thru all the scripts to find out whats going on, but that would probably take a lot of time, so if anyone happens to know a reason/fix to this, I'd appreciate it.

I m not sure if this is right. I copy a particle image to data/image. I setup the image accordding to Level Builder Getting Started starting on page 30. I place a particle effect in scene. Click the edit pane. Click save button and rename it with new name. Quit TGB and restart TGB. Place new particle effect in the scene. Click edit pane. Now you can edit the new particle effect without harming the orignal. It seem to be working good.

Obviously it takes a little time to understand all the beta quirks so that I don't go and break anything while testing things... ;)

Ok, it seemed I had somehow managed to immediately break the T2D startup project when I had created a new project. So none of the particles were properly appearing in the menu. Using the clean backup copy of the project solved that. Obviously it takes a little time to understand all the beta quirks so that I don't go and break anything while testing things... ;)

Also, if you do want to return to the stock project template after starting a new one, just go to File->Open Project and select T2D from the menu.

Well, I wouldn't call it breaking things, starting a new project will give you a clean slate so to speak for importing your own art assets. Look in your documentation folder for Level Builder Getting Started.pdf. There it shows you how to import art when starting from scratch. Also, if you do want to return to the stock project template after starting a new one, just go to File->Open Project and select T2D from the menu.

But as I said before, restoring the data from the backup fixed things, so no more worries. :)

Actually I had managed to break something, because the particle effects were missing even from the T2D project. (there were just bunch of empty particle effect boxes to choose from - in other words, it seemed to be aware of the particle effects, but failed to load them.) And I really don't know how I managed to cause that, because I don't recall changing anything in the T2D project. But as I said before, restoring the data from the backup fixed things, so no more worries. :)

Jukka go Level Builder Getting Started (pdf) starting on page 30. This will help you get the particle back.

I am try to update the particle tutorial for the TGB_LevelBuilder_Beta2. When I add a key value and click create I get 0.5 is outside allowed value for this graph. I am adding this under Table section in the Emitter Table key time/value.
Torque 3D Owner Hokuto
place it in the Scene View by clicking somewhere in there
click the Edit task pane while your new particle effect is selected
at the top of the Edit panel you can see the particle editor
all the aboce referers to the latest version you can download right now
I think they are working around it so that you do not need to add an effect to the scene before being able to edit/creat a new one
