Where did my Kork Go?

by Matthew Harris · in General Discussion · 03/21/2006 (1:42 pm) · 9 replies

Hi,

I downloaded torque 1.4. For some reason the Kork model doesn't show up. I do see a red dot running around in the World Editor and collision works with it. Can someone tell me how to get Kork to render? Its not visible. I have been looking all through aiPlayer.cs and can't find anything. Thanks in advanced.

What about Allyn's second question ?
is this happening off a clean install/build ?

Yes this happens off a clean build, Torque 1.4. The only things I have added is the Advanced Camera resource and RPGDialog resource

If you added things, then it's not a clean build...

Advanced camera resource has a bug in it. There is probably a fix, but I wasnt able to get it working. It has to do with the camera position and scoping. It will only scope from the origin.

There is a fix available. I specifically included this in the TGE Errata thread I started today, even though it's not a stock-TGE bug because so many people get caught by it.

Andrew is right. Thats up there with "we only did it once, she's still mostly a virgin"... ;-)

I have a similar problem that I haven't addressed in one level of a game. It's a vehicle that just VANISHED, but the two character models that are mounted on it are still visible. I still have a copy of the executable from 1.3 - running it against the same TorqueScript code the vehicle is visible.

(It's a cut-scene, and the project is the lower priority of two, so I've been ignoring it)

I had that problem, but reverting to a previous version of the mis file fixed it.
I just readded my stuff back in.
