The web site doesn't say comming soon or preoder it flat out says the book is in stock. I made my purchase however I want get a comfromation email untill Monday during there normal buisness hours. Amazon and BN still have a April release date on the book, but you just never know I figured I would give eveyone the heads up on that.

I can confirm however a couple of things:
--A K Peters is in fact the publishing house for this book.
--the book will be available from GarageGames via our "GG Press" (new publishing label) extremely soon (GDC starts Wednesday, we've already said we'll be selling this book at GDC, you do the math)
--the book rocks!
--we wish we would have been ready for their early purchase authorized period ;)

A K Peters is a publishing house, and therefore responsible for anything you order from them...you may want to send them an email if you (sic) "want to get a confirmation email until Monday during their business hours".I can confirm however a couple of things:

I'm very interested in this book, but I would like to know if it's different from Ken Finney's book...
Can someone who already own the book give some information?
What does it covers?
Thanks.

If we are buying from GG, will we be able to get electronic delivery?

Note, I also posted some information here.
@ Mark Berry - You are not the first person to ask about e-copies, but as yet GG and I have not determined what we will do about this distro model. For now, I suggest that you buy your copy from GG when their product page comes up.
@ Ken Finney - :) I was quite surpised to see this thread pop up here. It almost feels like I'm trespassing!
@ All, I've said as much in other forums, but just an FYI. I have made two downloads available on my site. One is the alpha version of the game you can make while reading the book and the other is a limited copy of the lesson kit that come with the book. In both cases, the content is asset protected and only DSO copies of scripts are included, BUT the purpose of these download is to provide a try before you buy opportunity. So, download them, take a look, and let me know what you think.
Thanks to everyone,

@Jacopo De Luca - Hi. Please take a swing by my site and check out the product page. You will probably still have questions and if you do, feel free to post them here. Note, I also posted some information here.

Cool. I assume this is the culmination of all the work you've done on the Essential Guide to the Torque Game Engine? Good to see you get something plublished.
