Commercial License Download

by Michael Becerra · in Torque Game Builder · 03/13/2006 (10:24 am) · 8 replies

I have purchased an upgrade from indie to commercial license. However it is showing me Commercial Licence 1.02 Depreciated and Indie 1.1 Beta 1.1. How do i download my Commercial License 1.1 Beta 1.1? Also i am not planning on selling any of my games commercially. I just wanted to get rid of the garage games logo.

There is no difference in code between indie and commercial.

You can't remove the GG logo...

Unless I'm reading it wrong.

That clause means you cannot alter the code (headers and such) then re-release it as a new engine.

INDIE LICENSE: No Royalties - Publish Anywhere. GarageGames pioneered the breakthrough Indie License when we first published the Torque Game Engine in 2001, and we have continued to refine and relax the requirements for this incredible deal. In summary, T2D is only $100 per programmer for the full source code to this powerful game engine. As long as your company has less than $250,000 in sales, you can publish your game anywhere, for any price without any royalties or further commitment to GarageGames except for displaying the T2D logo upon game start up. We like to say, "it is as close to free as we could make it." It's been said before, but bears repeating, "there is no better game development deal in the world!" Commercial Licenses Available for only $395 per programmer seat.

COMMERCIAL LICENSE: No Royalties - Publish Anywhere. Torque 2D Commercial License allows teams the use of T2D for any commercial purpose. GarageGames is striving to come up with fair pricing that will allow teams to use the power of Torque 2D to help compete in all markets. The T2D Commercial License is just the ticket. At $395, with no royalties, teams can safely predict development expenses and use the complete Torque development solution to create realistic simulations, training materials, visualizations, walk throughs, and commercial products that stand out in the marketplace. In summary, T2D Commercial is only $395 per programmer seat for the full source code to this powerful game engine. You can publish your game anywhere, for any price without any royalties or further commitement to GarageGames.

So from what i read, i can safely remove the logo, correct?.

Yes. You can remove it.

I still find this logo issue odd, but to each their own.

Don't display it. Figure out where it's displayed, and no longer use that as the background, or whever it's being loaded in.
