WIP: boardgame

by Tim Doty · in Torque Game Builder · 03/01/2006 (8:13 pm) · 3 replies

My current effort is a port of a boardgame. Nothing great yet, but the demo actually allows movement (sans collision checking and some other "unimportant" features). Most of the internal structure is actually there, just 95% is stubbed out... I am happy with the hex system, though.

Edit: I never can remember the markup... and the submit page lacked the linky
Edit2: Apparently linking images doesn't work any more. Undoing first edit...

Looks good so far. I've always thought that hex board games looked neat for some reason...

I was thinking of taking some of my old Avalon Hill games and make them into a video game for personal use. Looks good! Can you share on how you did this Tim? It would make a good resource.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable exposing code at this point. But when things are more complete that is something I'll consider.
