Multiverse MMO

I ran across this MMO engine from a tech stock tip page and I hadn't seen anything here about it so I wanted to post. The SDK looks quite interesting. Based on what their licensing scheme says you don't pay anything up front, just split the money made when you sell your game (it looks like they might also handle the actual user purchase as well).
I'm downloading the free SDK now and will update when I have looked at it more.

They are in closed beta right now. If you sign up to be a developer they will add you after a while (took me a couple of months to get in). The whole engine is supposed to be available in sometime this summer. So far from the little I have had to look at it, it appears as though it is going to work quite well. I'm not a big fan of the ogre file formats though.

Hum just keep the focus on some open MMOG solution for torque...

lets say you have a really good dedicated server, would it be able to handle it?

Well the only draw back for torque being used as an MMOG is just the netcode right? or server requirements?lets say you have a really good dedicated server, would it be able to handle it?

Buahahahahaha! So, I guess they've somehow taken the $20 million and 3 year burden away? How do those numbers have anything to do with indie MMORPG titles? Do they have ANY idea what an indie MMORPG looks like?

From their site: Quote:"Right now, it takes at least three years and $20 million to make a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG), due to challenges in the areas of engineering, asset-creation, and marketing. That price tag means independent game developers simply can't afford to enter this exciting and lucrative space."

I think there solution is a lot of click and create type stuff with very little modding need. Johnathan can you give us some insight as to the tools you get in SDK and how much work is required since you have it?
