Problem with demo menu selections

This seems like something other people must have already caught, but I don't see any mention of it in the bug files - probably just bad eyesight.
I downloaded the latest TSE from CVS and compiled it without issue. I start the demo and it runs thru the initial screen and goes to the main menu. I select "Torque Shader Engine Overview" and I get a menu of selections. At this point no matter which menu option I pick the system simply bails out returning me to the operating system.
(Note: If I go to the "Feature Walkthru" instead of the Overview it works just fine.)
Here is a typical example of the last entries in the console log before it fails.
Engine initialized...
PushThread: main_menu_thread
Update: main_menu_thread page: 0
isNext: 0 - 1
PushThread: overview_thread
POP Current: main_menu_thread page: 0
Update: overview_thread page: 0
isNext: 0 - 1
PushThread: testimonials_thread
POP Current: overview_thread page: 0
Update: testimonials_thread page: 0
No warnings, no error messages, just kicked out.
Anybody else seeing this? I've tried it on a couple machines here and it seems to me to be universal.
