Crossbow Bolt Smoke Trail Offset

I have noticed that the smoe trail for the crossbow is not aligned to the bolt model itself. Actually I should say that the model is nt aligned to the smoke, as the smoke trail is where the projectile collides.
I have tried adjusting various values in the script file to no avail, and have also searched through resources.
How can I bring the projectile model (.dts) in line with the smoke emitter?

Here is a screenshot. I had to slow down the muzzle velocity quite a bit to be able to get a shot where the bolt was larger than a single pixel.http://www.cardboardtank.com/boltOffset.jpg

Yeh i've noticed that as well. tis annoying when you've just made a kicka** shape for the projectile, then you put it in and you notice the offset is well... off.
