if (MFC == evil)

=D lol this will be a fun discussion. Basically looking at the game industry and seeing as I don't really care too much aboutn non-game oriented programming (as it seems the same to me) I am thinking about learning MFC, as the way I see it, MFC has more use in the business world out there. BAsically preperation and a backup plan If i can't get a jobi n the game industry or whatnot. However (with a brother majoring in business) I have thought of some innovative programs that at the very least would look great on a resume, maybe one or two might make money. Either way I would like to learn MFC as so far I have seen it as evil and confusing, I also can't find a decent tutorial on the net. I have seen the MSDN scribble tutorial and i'm n the process of doing it but I have found that someone else's tutorial usually have been better, at least for me, for me to learn from. either way I still need a mfc tutorial, thanks.

It is evil and confusing. =)

Try www.codeguru.com. They have lots of info, though I'm not sure they have what you'd call tutorials. For that, there's a bunch of free books online at www.informit.com.

hehe =)

I hsould rephrase that.. I don't need tutorials, as long as it's readable information (which i have noticed sometimes excludes msdn =) )

thanks i'll try out those links

I find CodeProject very useful for my day job, which is lots and lots of annoying MFC programming.

MFC can be very easy, as long as you don't want to do anything that is too different from what MS does in Office.
