Safari-related fixes (maybe fixes other stuff, too!)

by Kyle Carter · in Torque Developer Network · 02/10/2006 (12:39 am) · 4 replies

Hey guys,

Just added a tweak to make TDN play nice with Safari which should help anywhere that you get weird broken behavior on pages (ie, clicking login does nothing). Can people with Safari give it a try and let me know how it works?

Thanks,
Ben

Great. Again, another one from Ricks Unanswered posts link. ;)

Ben, all the problems I noticed before do not seem to be happening anymore. Kudos :)

Hmm.. I think I spoke too soon. The following pages are a bit messed up in the login process.

http://tdn.garagegames.com/wiki/Torque_2D
http://tdn.garagegames.com/wiki/Torque_2D/Getting_Started/T2DTetrisTutorial

Here are some things I have noticed that can maybe help:
- If I attempt to go directly to any of those pages prior to being logged in, I will only get a message stating "Only Torque 2D owners can access this content." rather than being redirected to login.
- Once this occurs, the auth error that is, then I can only get that error message on the page I tried to directly access, even after logging in. I must hard refresh the page to bring up the content, which shouldn't be necessary.
- If I first login from http://tdn.garagegames.com (or a page which redirect to login works on) then these pages work fine.

I have not been able to test all pages in this manner (trying to go directly to them prior to being logged in), but have tested a few on the T2D section and these 2 are the only ones so far that I've came across which don't quite work right.

Give it a try now, made it even more paranoid. :)
