Hey all you T2D owners, I've got some good news and I've got some better news for you. First of all, the MacOSX Beta is now ready for public consumption and is available for download from the site on the T2D product download page! Secondly, while Paul Scott was ever so graciously slaving away to get the Mac Beta ready, we decided it would be as good a time as any to synch up the Windows Beta with it so that they're both as up to date as possible. While synch'in them up we patched up a few bugs reported by you all since the Beta 1 release and now we're proud to present, a point release to Beta1; say hi to Beta 1.1!
Yes, it's true that Beta 1 was supposed to be our last update for a while, but we just couldn't resist the opportunity to get some of those annoying little bugs sorted out since we had the chance, so here's a small list of fixes that we've added in, the full changelog of course can be found in the SDK download packages.
-3D Shape path match spec has been updated so that particles and 3d shapes now correctly look for their proper file extensions.
-Fixed a problem with config datablocks not transfering properly.
-Changed "setGroup" consoleMethod to "setGraphGroup".
-Tile layers fields are now updated on tile map load.
-Added "frameOverlayGui" to the scripts so you can view FPS metrics.
-Level Builder background color picker's color field no longer randomly changes in the options gui.
-OpenGL FullScreen Alt-Tab now works properly.
-Fixed a problem with loading fonts from cache when they don't exist on the target computer.
-Resolved VC8 Express Compilation Error in winWindow.cc.
-Added MacOSX Updated Project!
And because I'm feeling surprisingly unoriginal right now, I've just copied Joshs' note about bug reports because it's extremely important and makes our hectic lives a lot easier when trying to parse bugs!
And once again, please note... when you report bugs, please mark them as Beta 1.1! And if you feel really helpful, in your bug reports, please help us indentify where in the code, script or assets the bug lies... and if you feel extra, extra helpful, go ahead and provide a nice fix! Thanks. The whole idea with these betas is to give everyone a preview of what's to come, give you early updates, and hopefully have everyone help out making the engine better.
Alright fellas, we hope you have fun with this release and I personally can't wait to see all of your, undoubtedly amazingly innovative, and showstopping games and demos make it to an internet near me!
P.S. Yeah I know the 1.1 ... 1.1 is funny looking :)
Cheers,
-Justin
