Torque Shader Engine

by Ian Chiofolo · in General Discussion · 02/06/2006 (7:05 pm) · 2 replies

I have some questions about the Shader Engine. How good does it work? If I wanted to make a game for 360 sometime would the grafics be worthy? Is it easy to use, and can I still export mesh from True Space like a I am with the regular torque engine? If so how much could I do with the DTS Exporter? Would I be able to export mesh with higher polycount? Could someone please answer each question starting with a number for each answer... That would be great.

1. I think there was a forum thread like this a while ago I would check that out.

2. Yes if you can make graphics worthy check out marble blast ultra.

3. As easy as it gets and I'm pretty sure you can.

4. I don't think the DTS exporter would be any different.

5. yes.

I'm sure a bit of poking around would find any answers I didn't provide.

Yea search on those issues and read some of the replies. It would almost take a book to answer all that :)

TSE is in an Early Adopter pre-release state right now. So it's not a spit and finished product if that is one of the things you wanted to know. Again those conversations and various opinions are well documented recently in the last oh 4-6 weeks buried in the forum and on .plans from GG staff and associates.

I don't think they is a truespace exporter. You might check the public art forum.
