Does T2D include TGE?

If I purchase the Torque 2D Engine, does that include the "Torque Game Engine" (3D) as well? ...or do I need to shell out $100 for T2D and then $100 for TGE?

You don't need one of them to complement the other. If you want 3D, buy TGE. If you want 2D, buy t2D. If you want both, buy both.

T2D utilizes as much of the Torque Application Platform as necessary. But it does NOT include the majority of functionality in TGE. T2D = 2D functionality. TGE = 3D functionality. TSE = advanced hardware functionality. Are there artifacts of TGE in T2D? Definitely. Is TGE contained in T2D? No.
