MacTel Crash

by Jesse Jenson · in Torque Game Builder · 02/01/2006 (11:01 pm) · 5 replies

Hi, I've got one of the new Intel iMacs, and I just tried the new Alpha 4 of T2D. Every time I try to use my keyboard in one of the demos, the program crashes.

I can't even use keys in the editor.

Any idea on what is happening?

Torque isn't quite yet Intel based Mac ready, but it's pretty close! We have someone working internally on a universal binary for both configurations...it's just not publically available yet as there is quite a bit of external dependencies (ogg/vorbis and other external libraries for one) that need to be confirmed compatible.

Cool. I have a nifty new mac-tel too. Will this be a free update? Just bought my T2D yesterday.

Also- should I start development on PC, and will I have any problems moving the project over to my new machine? Assuming I only use torque script, is everything compatible?

What is the real benifit of the MacTel? Just being different and inovative?

They are more powerful and run cooler
