Torque on a Mac

Hey,
I am looking to use Torque to make a small starfox style game and before I got started I have a few questions:

1. How is Torque in OSX? I have a newer Powerbook and would prefer to do any developing on it then my Windows machine at home since I am rarely there.

2. Would I be able to move 3D Studio Max files from my Windows machine to my Mac? I am most familiar with 3D Studio which doesn't have a Mac version. Would I be able to export the files on my PC and move them on to my mac and then import them? or does it have to be all on one machine?

Thanks for the help!

1. Torque in OSX works great. I do all development on it.

2. Sure. You would export the files to .DTS format on the PC and just copy them to the Mac.

The only thing you might be carefull of are the code files. PC and Mac use different line ending characters. So if you create a text file in one system, it might open strangely in the other. But Wordpad in windows is able to correct this problem. Just open the file and save again.

1. Torque for OS X is much the same as Torque for Windows. Just use the Xcode project file in the /pb directory.

2. Yes. DTS files will work in Torque and the Show Tool regardless of platform. The can be created on mac with Maya and (possibly) Blender.

DTS's can be created on OSX with Lightwave as well.
