Where to find good game ideas

#21 If there was a consistantly effective formula, there probably would have been a famous book on it by now. Just don't brainstorm, I don't care what anyone says, it doesn't work, new ideas are birthed from making connections you haven't made before, brainstorming just tells you to sit there and make connections between things which you have almost certainly already made, otherwise you wouldn't have listed them to be put together in the first place. Max's idea is probably one of the closest things you could have to randomly making connections, wether those connections will be good or not..... well you can't guarantee anything.
BTW, i like that idea about the robot and the pole-vaulting between islands with chocalatey stuff running between them, sounds cool.

#22 Let your imagination run wild. Take a walk and think of nothing. That's when good ideas come. I've have gotten all of my more original ideas when i was walking my dog. Not sure why though. The remake idea is good. Make a Super Mario remake with an FPS. Could be really fun, casting fireballs ;)
