I noticed this Associate is the one that was leading the charge for Maya's exporter.
Last update on it was July 17 05.
Just curious where he is and what's going on?
Blender export support seems to of have eclipsed Maya now.
I want to know what direction Maya is going with Torque. Looks like nowhere.

I was never in charge of the Maya2DTS exporter itself. I only took the initiative to write documentation for it and offer a single location for downloading the exporter and sample files. As Tom mentioned, I do have a full-time job that prevents me from doing additional support and updates of the documentation at this time. Hopefully, this won't be such an issue once the art section of TDN is completed.
As for the exporter itself, Clark Fagot was the last one (that I know of) who actively worked on the code for it. J. Alan Atherton also did a little bit of work. Since I do not actively work with Torque-related projects at this time, I am not sure what the status of the exporter is. Your best bet would be contact GarageGames directly to find out if anything is in the works.

Just would be a good idea to put update on what's going on cause the doc's say the exporter is still in Beta. There is no official 7.0 support and the company just sold for like serious money to Autodesk.
I wish I had the expertise to help with the exporter but I am just starting to study MEL. Danny apologies in advance and thx.

I would post an update, but I honestly have no clue what is going on with Maya2DTS support at this time. If I hear anything, I will post it. :)

Haha Joseph, I opened this thread expecting a "wheres walley" style image, I was quite dissapointed when it looked like it was a real question. However it looks like Tom may be right, theres no pirates in that picture, so I guess danny isn't at the fair :(

I did manage to compile the maya2dts source code that comes with the 1.4 SDK, but I am left with a .dylib file that I do not know how to use...
Useful, innit? :D

erm, this guy I knows also use 7 for exporting (or at least making so I assume exporting), but MY concern is for the Mac.
Are we speaking of the same thing here?

Edit: Sorry, I couldnt resist that ;-)
Danny got a new job that keeps him very busy, I would assume that is the main reason for his "disapearance."
