Orkvale - The eve of Battle

by Apparatus · in General Discussion · 12/30/2005 (2:48 pm) · 33 replies

The Ork is here, awaiting its enemies... In the past few weeks his fellow Orks developed several workshops and barracks and also revived the Pit Mines. The Harbor has closed. The fishing boats are gone, strange, dark sails are threatening the evening air - The Ork WarShips. All fellow ork workers are hidden somewhere nearby, crafting in secret poisoned arrows and stronger crossbows. Rumors say that a new weapon developed from a Goblin stolen plan is ready to be mounted on the Outpost outer plateau. The wind gently carries dead autumn leafs.. Dark smoke coming out the Pit Mines along with deep, heavy, industrial noise. The sky is coated in reddish clouds. It had finally come to this. The Battle of our Times.

Okay, so the above story may be insignificant for some of you. You want to make games, after all, not read stories. Orkvale was born with this thought in mind: create a game chunk enough to inspire you confidence on Torque Game Engine: it can make games. The Orkvale Enhanced Pack is a second from a (probable) game. It provides models, animations, sounds, documents, how to's and tutorials, and the Orkvale Level itself. So, stay tuned. It will come.

More info and updates available on site.

Thank you Community,
Thank you GarageGames

Happy New Year !

@OldRod I think you should be able to acces the content by now or if not, try refreshing the page. The website is Firefox optimised, followed by Opera and IE. If still doesn't work, let me know.

New theme... hmmm I never seen a new theme when I logged in... I was given SDK permissions right? If so probably a caching issue. Thanks!

Yes, it's the cache. I could have enabled the cache to make sure you see the latest updates but it will make it difficult to navigate trough the 3 new modules (not live yet) - freebies, courses and tutorials. in other words, it keeps logging out no mather what when one of those three modules are visited if cache is enabled. so yes, please clear your cache.

Also, Firefox it is recommended :)

It's still not letting me in. I can get to the main site, but when I click on "Products" (the only button that seems to be a link) it says I have to be an SDK owner.

Could be the theme, i just moved you back to the default theme. Try clearing your cache good old style, this seems to be a common problem. Let me know if you still have problems.

Yes, Products is the only active link; i work on that are aas we speak.

@wired203 : your account is updated
