Infinitum3D is changing!

For seven years I dedicated myself to creating a unique fantasy role playing game. The project was larger than I was, and therefore it failed. Since then, I've married, had children, changed from Midwesterner in Ohio, to Northern Californian, and now to Georgian (Savannah). Below, you can read the original concept for Infinitum3D, as well as the status of the design team. That project was listed as defunct,

UNTIL NOW . . .

Seven years later, Infinitum3D is being reborn as a Torque project. Our new project will start small, and grow over time into a complete game. Our plan is to create a very basic world, and gradually add creatures, NPC's, towns, cities, kingdoms, and extra-planar dimensions.

It is currently December 27th, 2005. I plan to have the first stage, a simple world, created in thirty (30) days. This sounds like a reasonable goal. I am currently starting the project from scratch, by myself, although several of the concepts developed by the original Infinitum team will be implemented in the future. If anyone from the original team would like to return, I'd love to have you. If anyone who has game development experience would like to join, I'd love to have you. If anyone without any experience at all but a desire to learn would like to join, I'd love to have you.

I don't even have the Torque engine software yet (I'll be buying it in a couple days), but I do have hundreds of original 3D objects, skins, sound effects, and musical compositions, as well as THOUSANDS of hours of development concepts and ideas created by dozens of people.

If I have to I'll complete the project myself, but I'd love to have help.

E-mail me at Infinitum3D@hotmail.com or reply here.

Wow... sounds sorta like my posting but I haven't been at it quite so long. Maybe you'd like to combine resources and build a game. I have the Torque Indie with a lot of AI work done to the sdk including weather and time.

Im at: ashtara@charter.net and on aim as ashtara00 if you are interested.

Anyone in Eastern Georgia? I now have a couple months experience using Torque 1.5 and would love to have some local help on a project.

I'm also currently working on a website.

Bump...

Over a year of torquescripting experience now, loads of art and a pretty good main continent with NPCs and dialog, forests, cities, and villages...

I'm still looking for Torquers in SouthEastern Georgia and South Carolina, the Hilton Head/Savannah area.

Anyone?

You join me, I join you, or merge?

Bump.

The Infinitum3D project is still accepting new team members. Anyone is welcome, but I would really like to find people in SouthEast Georgia, near Savannah.

Thanks!

Tony
