How to get easy funding for your game

I just saw the following movie trailer and it's as though a light went off in my head! Put smoking and drinking and shooting into your game and get financial backing from the tobacco, alchohol and firearms industry!!! YEAH!!!!

    That's a pretty cool trailer Anton.

    and btw, there is nothing wrong with viral marketing, and/or product placement. Better an indie gets a piece of the pie... than nothing.

    but then i'm getting into a philosophical argument on ethics and morals... lets stay off of that topic shall we? ;)

    Self-ownership and property rights. These things are obviously evil. They should probably be outlawed. Then everyone would be equal and therefore free. Though some would be more equal than others... and therefore more free than others. But hey, at least socialism / communism delivers good results even if it's theoretically flawed.

    Freedom through submission.

    EDIT - You can exchange your rights to self-ownership and property for a fiat government promise of protection, but you can't exchange mine! Always remember that.

    I am completely for product placement in games. I hope it is done tastefully when it's done. For me, as long as the game doesn't get dictated by the sponsers, I am all for it.

    I don't think I understand what you comment has to do with the trailer for the movie? Can you explain? I understand what you're saying, but I can't see how it connects. I'm curious though.


    This thread is sarcastic though. I am not serious about product placement of tobacco, alchohol and firearms. Just thought it sounded funny. I am personally against use of any of them and I would never want to advertise them in my game. I would only allow advertising for products that are above board. Such as Health Insurance, Oil and Porn.

    Just kidding. :P
