Ever thought of teaching Torque?

by Davey Jackson · in General Discussion · 12/19/2005 (5:47 pm) · 4 replies

Many of our community members are currently, previously have been, or are seeking to become game design/game art instructors. Here is a place to hold up your flag and advertise your skills. We have run into a high demand for qualified instructors at high schools, community colleges, technical colleges and universities. Many of these positions are even available without a degree as long as your knowledge base is strong enough.

As GarageGames expands its presence in education we will have an even higher demand for experienced developers who can teach Torque. Many of these positions are part time, and provide a great way of earning supplemental income to finance your game.

If you are interested please post here www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=37839

@ Apparatus: Yes, anyone can post here. We have quite a few schools in Europe that are in various stages of evaluation and instruction of Torque. Your addition is appreciated.

Awesome guys this is great! We have a number of posts already on this thread. Having community members who are interested and willing to be educational resources strengthens our community and improves our ability to compete with the bigger guys. I went to a number of conferences this fall and one of the top questions from schools was 'Do you have people who can teach?' Being able to pull people from the community and, potentially, put them into paying teaching positions is really exciting.

Please keep the posts coming : )
