Quarke Texture Sizes

When I make a large object and texture it, the textures also get big. Is there a way where I can keep the textures a small size?

I'm on my first cup of coffee right now. But I believe < 1 will scale the texture up and > 1 will scale it down.

Do you mean the texture get stretched? If that is the case just click into the specifics for that poly (or group) in the tree view and set your tiling to something greater than 1. I'm on my first cup of coffee right now. But I believe < 1 will scale the texture up and > 1 will scale it down.

I'm also having a bit of trouble getting my head around applying my own textures with any precision in Quark...to check Christian do you mean to set tiling in Quark or Torque? I currently can't find tiling info, have looked in World Editor Inspector drop down lists in Torque and the List of Objects/Map Structure in Quark (been right clicking to add textures to poly's but can't see tiling anywhere - bit lost!)
Also is the only way to add your own textures, other than to rename them the default texture "concrete" etc, to add them to the myprojects.quk file? I've currently got a problem where my textures are tiling and at a smaller size than I would have expected but I think this is because even though my texture is actually 1024 x 1024 the only I'm sneaking it onto the model in the guise of "concrete.jpg" is only 256 x 256 and that's specified in Quark?
thank you, bev
