I am here today to tell you that Dropandplay website is up and running. There are issues that need adjustments (like the store) but its moving along well.

Also, the reason I post it here is that Dropandplay will host a Workshop page from where people may download free models and such. This is coder aimed bussines, particulary those who need dummy models for their code tricks and need some refreshment from the default ones.

Regards,

Apparatus

So, come up with requests :) I saw somewhere a plan with a melee system to be implemented. I will work on a few swords by then. I just recall that. :)

Ok, 3 posts in a row:

This time is a shot of the sample tutorial page, in flash format, fully integrated in website with print options and all that. Prior or close to Mapping Kit release a sample Chapter Tutorial will be shown there.

Ah, nice to see you have a home to show off your wares. I enjoy reading your posts, you have a lot of enthusiasm.

I have a totally irrational dislike for stock photo's on main pages of someone looking happy on their computer. It can look professional, but it bugs me how many sites are like this for some reason. There I said it ... I can sleep easier now :)

The concept for your game looks interesting, I enjoy a more comical style. If I had more time I'd volunteer to be your coder slave :)

Much cooler :)

Is there any reason why you are making an image of your body text each time? (i.e. the "Finally Here ..." etc). Is that generated by some program, or are you doing it yourself?

edit: ah just noticed the imageready slices in the source. It might be easy to update that way, but search engines will miss all that text when they spider your sites. Just something to be aware of :)

:)

i make images off almost anything, besides, i hate having plain html pages everywhere; and there is not much text neither

Oops edited while you posted.

As long as your comfortable with it then its all cool. I just always like to point out thing like this. The text won't be able to be changed to be bigger by users with poor eyesight etc.

Also small things like people with crt monitors often make snapshots of text not realising that microsofts font rendering is terrible. If you're on an lcd it looks awful unless you've used their font cleartype tuner to make it more readable. And of course if that text is embedded in an image, the font is stuck the original way it was rendered. Your text is fine looking to me, but as a web developer I just wanted to point up some potential issues :)

As far as i concern the images tell the story on the website; and if one needs to know really important stuf out of it, he can do it in the store or print the whole thing (like the dev shots, there will be tutorials as well).

Anyways, thanks for pointing out stuff :))

don't u just love gg community?

I don't know about you but if your good with 2D art as well it would be refreshing for some new HUD images. Like the GUIChatHud needs to go and maybe the health bars be fancied up.

Just updated the workshop page. It's nothing fancy or eye catchy but may prove usable to some people. If not, silly me :)

Its a simple shield with textures (including spec and normal map).

Get it here

Can i make one tiny suggestion? Is that okay?

Well anyway, it's that, for readability sake, i think you need to seperate the words for links a little bit more ("Workshop" "Store" "Game Packs" "Press"). And not just at the top, but in other places as well. Just something to consider.
